Welded spiral heat exchangers are manufactured similarly to gasketed spiral heat exchangers, the only difference is that the channel walls are welded. If in production there is no need to clean the heat exchangers manually (with high pressure washers), but only CIP flushing is sufficient (with circulation pumps, etc.), then it is possible to use a welded spiral heat exchanger.
Welded spiral heat exchangers are easy to maintain, reliable in operation, withstand higher pressures and have a lower cost compared to gasketed heat exchangers.
