Overview
Cam pumps are similar to gear pumps, as the pump operates using two Y or I-shaped vanes that are vertically aligned and rotate inside the pump casing.
Vacuum is created due to the vanes, that allows the pump to be self-priming, as well as to cope with gas jams.
Applications of cam pumps: wine, olive oil, vegetable oil, molasses, pressed olive waste, fermented grapes, glucose, tomato concentrate, chocolate, sludge, manure, sewage, crude oil, glue, ink, paint, fuel oil, bentonite, ceramic slag , calcium carbonate, sea water, oil products, dirt, detergents, surfactants, glycerin.
