Distillery processing of distillery dreg, DDGS

In order to fully use the post-alcohol bard as a highly nutritious feed, its multi-stage processing is proposed to produce a whole line of commercial products used as farm animal feed and additives to concentrated feeds. In addition, the implementation of the proposed technology makes it possible to return the liquid phase of distillery wort and luther water to production, which significantly reduces the intake of fresh artesian water for technological needs. In addition, in parallel, the environmental task is being solved – the protection of soils, surface and ground waters from contamination by the products of the decomposition of the bard, which takes place with the standard, to date, method of disposal of post-alcohol bard-its retention in the bard storage. The proposed recycling technology is as follows. The post-alcohol bard from the department 06 is cooled in recuperative heat exchangers that heat the process media and intermediates, then enters the decanters, where it is divided into a solid fraction – cake (40% of absolutely dry substances) and a liquid fraction - fugate (5% of absolutely dry substances). The cake can be sold as a commercial product, but it is more effective to dry it in order to obtain a protein-vitamin concentrate. To improve its quality as a commercial product, the fugate is condensed at the microfiltration plant until another commercial product is obtained – a concentrate (22 ... 25% of absolutely dry substances). It is possible to sell the concentrate as an independent commercial product, but in order to improve the nutritional qualities of the protein vitamin concentrate, the concentrate is mixed with the cake and dried. Waste from the thickening of the fugate-permeate (1.0 ... 1.5% of absolutely dry substances) after correcting its physical and chemical composition is returned to the department 03 where it is used for preparing the batch.
