Vortex pumps
The design of the vortex pump is simple and reliable. The impeller is a disk with radially placed blades attached to the shaft of the electric motor.
This group of pumping equipment got its name due to the principle of fluid movement inside the working chamber. On each blade of the wheel, during rotation, a vortex occurs, and, accordingly, a zone of increased pressure.
Despite the simplicity of the design, the pumps have the following advantages:
- the pumps can create a pressure of up to 9 atm., which is 3-7 times more than that of pumps with a standard spiral impeller with the same diameter;
- is capable to pump liquid with the presence of air bubbles;
- self-priming property.
