Pumps for unloading and loading railway tanks
There are only two options for filling a tanker with liquid:
- The liquid is poured through the top opening of the tank;
- The liquid is pumped through the lower hole using an additional filling unit: a pump or a vacuum compressor.
Pumps for draining and pumping hazardous liquids from mobile vehicles (tanks or railway tanks) are selected based on chemical compatibility and required performance.
Special pumps are suitable for pumping hazardous liquids, that is, substances that, due to their special properties, can be harmful to the environment or to people in contact with them.

Fluids commonly used in this application:
- Ammonia
- Sulfuric acid
- Nitric acid
- Hydrochloric acid
- Sodium hydroxide (caustic soda)
- Hydrogen peroxide
Pumps installed on vehicles and involved in the unloading process, provide complete security transport and handling of liquids, ensuring fast execution of work.
To prevent possible pump failure due to lack of fluid, we suggest anti-dry running device. This device is especially recommended for tanker unloading operations and for all applications in which the constant presence of liquid inside the pipes is not guaranteed.
