Mechanical seal R-609/R-650

The mechanical seal with a metal bellows R-609 is designed for use at high temperatures (up to 425°C / 800°F) in pumps without expensive and time-consuming modification of the sealing chamber. The seal is single, balanced, independent of the direction of rotation of the shaft, without elastomers and with sealing secondary elements made of flexible graphite.

Application areas include areas with difficult operating conditions: hot hydrocarbons, aqueous solutions, crude oil fractionation products, heat carriers, alkalis, acids. R-609 is also used in John Crane cartridge seals of type 2609HTL and 3609HTL. Complies with EN 12756, DIN 24960, ISO 3069 and API 682 specifications.
