Sanitary, hygienic, food grade, FDA pumps are various names for a wide range of pumping equipment used in the food industry.
This group is represented by cam, gear, centrifugal, screw, impeller and many other pumps.
The main requirements for this type of equipment are as follows:
- all materials in contact with food must be approved in the food industry;
- availability of quick-release connections (CLAMP, milk nuts) for fast CIP processing;
- the design of the pump, if necessary, should provide the possibility of pumping products containing impurities, increased density and viscosity.
