Ultrafiltration

The ultrafiltration membrane by classification is mesiporous, size from 2 to 50 nm.
Membrane manufacturers describe the ability of membranes to retain particles of a particular molecular weight. The operational properties of membranes are largely determined by the properties of the material from which the membrane is made.
Membranes are made from cellulose, cellulose acetate, polysulfone, polyethersulfone, polyamide, polypropylene.
Ceramic membranes have a number of advantages over the others - they are a long operating time, high resistance to temperatures and corrosive liquids, and they can be used with food.
