Polypropylene spiral nozzle, plastic spiral nozzle, spiral nozzle as a bulk media for scrubber.
The plastic spiral nozzle is also called a Teller ring or Telleretti ring, which consists of radially arranged small rings. It is made from heat and chemical corrosion resistant plastics including polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), reinforced polypropylene (RPP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC), and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF).
As the nozzle has excellent mass and heat transfer efficiency characteristics for gas absorption, air conditioning, etc., it is used as a nozzle with high corrosion resistance and low pressure drop with wide application in gas absorbers, cooling towers, deaerators, reactors and other gas-liquid contact systems.
Advantages of the spiral nozzle:
- High free volume, low pressure drop.
- Low mass transfer unit height, high flooding.
- Uniform gas-liquid contact, low specific gravity.
- High mass transfer efficiency.
Application of the spiral nozzle:
The application temperature of media ranges from 60°C to 150°C, it is widely used in bulk columns in petroleum industry, chemical industry, alkali chloride industry, coal gas industry and environmental protection, etc.
- Production of H2SO4 / amonium sulphate: SO2, SO3, NH3, Absorber, scrubber.
- Soda production: chlorine drying tower.
- Metallurgical/coke industry: desulphurisation columns, medium/light oil collector, gas cooling tower.
- Oxygen plant: air-cooled.
- Heat output: flue gas desulphurisation.
- Chemical industry: H2S, HCI, CL2, HF, NOx elimination, recovery of organic solvents.
- Pulp and paper industry: black/white liquor oxidation.
- Water treatment: treatment of ammonium, trihalomethane, trichloroethylene.
- Wastewater treatment: deodorisation.
