The construction of mechanical seal consists of two parts: stationary and rotating. Stationary part, as a rule is a ring, that is fixed in the pump casing. Rotating part is installed on the shaft and tightened to the stationary part with a help of spring.
Pressurization by the mechanical seal is achieved by the means of secondary seals (bellows, rubber rings) and friction couple.
