Circulating pumps for heating
Why are circulation pumps needed?
The functional purposes of electric pumps of this type include:
- Ensuring forced movement of water in the heating system in a closed loop.
- Ensuring forced recirculation.
- Minimizing energy consumption.
- Increasing heating efficiency.
That is, from all that has been said, it is possible to draw the following conclusion: circulation pumps are the main components of hot water supply in heating, special units are designed to increase the performance of the heating system, in appearance they are similar to conventional drainage pumps (casing, motor shaft, rotor, etc.) .

Types, types, varieties
In general, all water pumps are divided into two types: wet and dry running. Such names speak for themselves.
By “wet running” we mean the optimal use of engine power directly in the water medium that needs to be pumped. In this case, the water serves as a kind of engine coolant. The efficiency of such units, according to experts, is plus or minus 50%. A clear advantage of wet-running models is their ability to self-bleed air during startup (if provided for by the model itself). The installation features of “wet” models include the need to install them strictly in a horizontal position.
Regarding dry running: this means that the engine is not in contact with water. Characteristic of all “dry” pumps is that they are really high-power, productive, and extremely durable. However, it is worth noting that despite their advantages they have one significant drawback: they are noisier. Therefore, they are recommended to be installed in separate rooms, taking into account the location of the suction pipe (vertical, horizontal, block).
